Free open Danish language courses at SDU | Learn Danish for FREE at SDU

A2B Language Center offers Danish courses for staff and students at SDU within The Official Danish Language Course. Our Danish classes take place on campus at the SDU campus on Alsion 2 in Sønderborg. It couldn’t be any easier for you to start learning Danish in Sønderborg!

The classes are free of charge as tuition fees are paid by your municipality for up to 5 years, if you have a referral letter for The Official Danish Language Course issued by Sønderborg Kommune. All you are required to do is pay a deposit of kr. 2.000 to enrol at the school - it will be refunded when you pass a test within a given time frame.

Learn Danish for free online

At our Language Center SDU Sønderborg we only teach staff and students from SDU Sønderborg. If you want to learn Danish with A2B, you can join the Official Danish course online with us. As an international living, working, or studying in Denmark, it is probably free for you to study The Official Danish Language Course/danskuddannelsen  online provided that you have a referral letter from the municipality.

Deposit 

Before starting classes at SDU in Sønderborg, you must pay a deposit of DKK 2.000. You pay DKK 2,000 here. When you show up for classes, you must bring a receipt for your payment. 

Refund of deposit

It is the municipality that decides when you can have your deposit returned. The rules are that when you pass a module or the final exam within the deadlines (four months for module 1, five months for module 2, seven months for module 3, eight months for module 4 and nine months for modules 5 and 6), you get your deposit back. If you stop studying The Certified Danish Education - for example if you leave Denmark - without having passed a module within the deadline, or if you pass the module test after the deadline, you will not be able to get your deposit back. Call us or ask us during the language center's opening hours to arrange a refund of the deposit.

Open Danish language courses at SDU for foreign employees, students and accompanying spouses
